Week 0 through 15.67...
Do you have the book? Did you read about his seedling and clone teas?
I have read enough of his writings to know that his method isn't for me. Also, I have a hard time taking anyone seriously who calls themself "The Rev".
I'm sure the guy grows some good herb, but all his "spikes and layers" just seem too fiddly to me.

Let's all just grow organic and do it our own ways. I would love to smoke all of our organic buds together and chill. I am even trying out some local organic bagged soil.
Im guessing u grow organic. What do u follow or do diff from tlo?

I do grow organically. I use a made-from-scratch peat/compost based soil. It contains many of the same ammendments that the "Rev" uses, but there are several key differences:
* My mix does not contain any pre-mixed soils or dry fertilizers.
* No "spikes" or "layers" in my soil. Just balanced nutrition well mixed and composted together.
* My soil is made to be recycled. Does the "Rev" ever reuse soil? (Honest question, not smartass remark)
Look a couple pages into the link in my signature if you want to see my soil mix. Like I said, many of the same ingredients, but no fiddly spikes and layers or specific teas for specific times. I just try to read each plant and give it what it's asking me for.
Don't get me wrong. I think people like the "Rev", Subcool, Soma, Moonshine, etc, are doing great things. We need these "public figures" to promote organic growing, and publishing their mixes makes it pretty simple for a first timers to harvest a high-quality organic crop. I just personally see these mixes as more of a starting point for organic learning and experentation, not necessarily the end all be all of organic perfection.
That's all, really. Don't mean to crap on anyone's methods, I'm just saying don't be afraid to experiment instead of following someone else's recipe.

I have seen Spicy around. He knows his game in a huge way. Much respect.
