Hey ppls,
So first time grower, only tried 1 this year & it got huge! Had to tie her over after she hit 7'. I'm not 100% on strain but I believe she's silver haze. I'm going on week 16 of veg cycle w/ no real sign of flowering. I'm getting 14 hours of daylight right now & frost for us isn't really that far off. My questions are, 1. Can I expect a long/slow flower since the veg cycle has been so long? 2. W/ frost here within 8 weeks should I be capping her & try to trigger her w/ a 12 hour cycle until light/sun cycle catches up?
Thanks for yr opinions!

Yes on light dep if you don't mind the hassle. As far as the frost the plants surely robust enough to handle it. The issue comes from the residuals moisture from a frost on the buds. I'm my experience from my location this leads to boytris or bud rot. Tenting or capping as you say actually helps to reduce this issue but you'll pretty much have to do it from here on out. My first grow was a 12 foot sativa that started flowering In the beginning of October...had I known what I know now I would have just let her cull herself I got like an 1/8 of pistils. With frost that close certainly Capp it..yesterday

Not a good strain for your area, you'll have to build a protective cover for her.

Both awesome tips, thnx guys. I'm thinking along the same lines. I'm going to put a frame I can put drop sheets over w/out touching her. Then once we start dropping below 10c I'll leave covered overnight so I don't have dew to frost over. I'm hoping this should buy me a couple weeks? You guys have confirm what I'm thinking thanx!
