I don't defoliate unless there is a specific reason such as high humidity or crowding, improve airflow etc. You only have 1 plant going with plenty of room so I personally wouldn't defoliate a whole lot. The leaves are like savings banks for nutrients for the plant to use. Defoliation for no real reason just slows the grow down and stresses the plant. Jmho. Cheers. Oh and assuming the plant is healthy which it appears to be. Yes the plant will recover. Instead of swazzing I would just set up a trellis to spread the branches out evenly.

Hey thanks for taking the time to answer my question are the lights too much for the one plant? And I was going to switch the lights to 12/12 tonight is that ok and I stupidly cut the trellis netting to move her from the 2x2x4 she started in because I was not able to get all the lights to fit in there. I normally use fabric pots but I didn’t have a big enough one being that it started in a 3 gal fabric pot.

Are you in a 4x4 or a 3x3. With good led's 400w should kill it in 3x3.600w for a 4x4. Again this is quality lighting like from good cobs or Samsung boards. So yes you are probably a little over powered. No problem just turn her down a bit. I usually hang my light 18-24" away from plant not 36". So again if you lower the light closer you can turn it down a bit more. Will help with heat as well.

I never defoliate... :blsmoke:
I only pluck off dead leafs. I think its important to remove all the lower scraggly branches. I usually do it after the stretch, around week 3 of flower. Other than that, just keep the plant healthy and let her do her thing. :weed:

I always defoliate…
I usually strip off the largest most mature fan leaves as needed. Some light to medium defoliation a week before flip, and again once plants are done stretching between weeks 3 & 4 of flower. I will pull fan leaves from the mid to upper canopy, sometimes top fan leaves too if they’re blocking light to lower bud sites. Again in mid flower when buds begin to start swelling. I never pull off all the fan leaves from a branch.

I don’t ever recommend Shwazzing as described in the 3 a light book. I’ve tried it out of curiosity and plants get immediately stressed. Sometimes if they’re big enough, they don’t recover at all.

4x4 I ran 400 watts sanan are the LEDs. Last year did great but I took them outside the second week of May so I had to three hundreds so I stuck them In there as well and is around 1250 1300 from wall but these things have the computer fans two a piece I figured that where the extra watts came from. Surprisingly they done great but I feel my old school shit the hd’s and my hps do good to but the temps brudda with a six inch inline. Can’t beat led wita stick. But as far as trichs I donno like I said new but just new school I reckon.

Since it turned into this. But yeah I brought these girls outside after starting with 400 watt sanan LEDs last year and did all right this time I want to finish in doors so I added another six hundred watts makes a 1000. Will she pull through. Or did three a light smoke my boots.

One more thing If I can. Should I go to 12/12 tonight and change spectrum tomorrow or when the lights go out I can hit the switches on them boards and do it then or I can do it next week when should I try full spectrum. Because last time with the extra light I had it on full spectrum and they went straight to stressin

Thank you kindly! It’s a 3’x 6’ fabric garden bed in a 4’x 8’ tent. The bed is from Grassroots.
