Yes it will, for the segment of the market that insists on craft cannabis. You can buy a Ferrari anytime you want! Most folks opt for a Kia, because it does the basic job of transportation just as well- if not better.

Part of this is marketing and reverse snobbery- you can get good quality weed from a dispensary. Every dispensary? No. Every offering? No. But it's out there.

While corner cutting is the first response to falling margins, it won't be the last- especially if quality is important.

The next phase is going to be tightening up business practices and that will lead naturally to ROI calculations about all aspects of the business.

I'm ready!

Yeah, I imagine you are ready. Unfortunately for you, there aren't enough corners to cut that would necessitate any dispensary in a legal state to sell the shit you grow. Sorry, you'll have to rely on delusional old women to transport yours all the way to the East Coast retirement communities.

The top shelf stuff will always sell at high prices. The average user doesn't understand the difference though. They see $40/ounce and that's all they will ever know.

My main concern is the surplus will (is) find its way into the black market and the feds will crack down on Oregon's regulatory system. I'm just an amateur home grower and am going to be pissed off when the regulators make it harder for me to do my thing legally.
