To Nute or not to Nute?

I've got a 3 week old vegging Bublicious growing in FFOF. I just noticed what looks to be Nitrogen deficiency in two of the bigger fan leaves. I believe it's the 2nd node. My plants had been showing signs of stunting due to a high pH (8.5!!!) that I discovered late last week (due to not having tested my tap water...stupid, I know). Anyway, I flushed with 5.6 pH water and the runoff came in at 6.5 which is fine. They seemed to have responded well except for this issue. So, I'm thinking that N was getting locked out due to my initial high pH. Not sure since my other Bublicious (same growing environment) doesn't show any of these signs. I was going to wait until next week's watering to start feeding my first regiment of nutes (FF Grow Big), but now with what looks to be a N deficiency I'm thinking I might just go ahead add a couple of Tsps/Gal of Grow Big tomorrow with her watering. What do you guys think? You can see the yellowing at the 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock positions. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions/feedback/insults/your mama jokes, etc.

Right now with the plants at that size in FFOF I think I would wait on adding more nutrients. I can barely see any yellowing in your picture, and it could still be shock from the high ph. FFOF has pretty good nutes built in, so a plant of that size should still have plenty of juice. Maybe give them a nice microbe tea to get the soil going after the flush. Some worm castings, molasses, humic and kelp make a nice simple tea that is great fo soil health.

Try to keep that pH near 6.5, it's important. Did you add dolomite lime to soil mix? If not do so next time at about 1 TBSP per gallon of soil. Being you didn't and FFOF needs the extra cal/mag and the FF line of nutes can be weak on both for some demanding strains you may need to grab some cal/mag but if only a mag issue then regular epsom salt will work at about 1 tsp per gallon of water every 4-5 feds.
Anyway.
I almost agree with Twohearted but being I use FFOF always I know after 3 weeks the nutes in the soil are near done I'd begin feeding big bloom at 1/2-3/4 strength and grow at 1/2. Do you have the rest of the lineup? ie-big bloom, tiger, open sesame, beastie bloomz, cha ching, microbe, kangaroots? If not over time when you master the basics you can add the other products in. I also use Great White for root development among other things like humic and fulvic acids, molases ect.

Being you probably just have big grow/big bloom/tiger bloom you don't have to worry about all the other stuff this grow.

Edit-Also, with the dolomite lime in soil the pH wil be easier to stabilize near 6.5 in the mid-long run.

I'd probably hold off on feeding right now. Wait another week or so. And when you do feed start at qtr strength then work your way up. Better to go less then, burn them this young. Plant looks nice and healthy. A nice tea as earlier mentioned is a great idea. I always start my babies with a mild tea to get my medium jumping.

So, I'm almost 4 weeks into veg and the yellowing symptoms that look to be Mag deficiency in all the new growth hasn't subsided. Notice the yellowing of the blades in between the veins in the attached pics. The new leaves also seems to be growing a little abnormally; twisted and asymmetrical. I started feeding nutes yesterday for the first time. I fed with a 1/2 Tsp/Gallon of CaliMagic,1/4 Tsp/Gallon Big Bloom and 1/4 Tsp/Gallon Grow Big. I don't think she's ready for mouth to mouth, but I just want to make sure I'm doing what's best for her before it progresses. Should I notice an immediate improvement if CaliMagic worked or will I not notice for a few days? Her sister is doing fine which is odd because they were both started at the same time, with the same soil. pH looks to be good at around 6.3.

@Rancho: just using the Triple punch Grow Big/Big Bloom/Tiger Bloom and some Sledgehammer for my flushies. I might increase dosages to 1/2 Tsp next time I feed and keep up the CaliMagic unless I see some significant improvement. Great advice on the Dolomite. I've got that noted for my next grow.

Its not that bad bro. Good you started feeding , go full strength soon and make sure it goes in the soil at 6.5 ph.
