I had my clones under fluorescents for about 4 maybe 5 weeks because a friend let me down with a room he was going to let me use to grow in my question is would I count them 4 or 5 weeks as part of my veg cycle or start from when they went under the HPS's? Any advise would be much appreciated thanks

Depends on how big they are if they are still like the same size as when you clipped them I wouldn't count it as veg time. If they've grown I'd say it was veg time. I mean what you count as veg time doesn't really matter though You gotta decide how big they are now and how big you want them when they are done to decide your veg time player.

Agreed I dont ever have any clue really how old my plants are or even how long they've been in flower. I mean I know within like a week or a half a week but they can act so differently from strain to strian/grow to grow that I just pay attention to how big the plant is, how developed the buds/hairs/trichs are etc.

I mean if they've been in a cloner for that long I can't imagine they've grown much (if at all--depends on if there were nutrients). I personally like to veg the shit out of my plants, its a lot easier getting more weight by vegging for even an extra week or two. So I would probably veg them for at least 2-3 weeks before I even thought of flowering.

Focus on how the plant grows do not worry about timing. Bud sites is what you are trying accomplish. The more bud sites the more bud. if they are skinny with no branching then let them fill out. It may take a while with low light levels. Put her under the hps to vegg. To increase branching you can top her. this will focus the growth on the side branches making for a bushy higher yielder.
