Lower quality lights use lower quality diode bins. They’re the same manufacturer so they are able to advertise Samsung or whatever.

some budget brands are incorporating far red and uva. Throw in a handful of those diodes at a very low quality and now you can advertise far red and uva without compromising efficiency and budget. It’s not doing anything for the plant.

Following whatever trends are hot..

At least now the market isn't as much of a minefield as far as expectations of the products.

Everyone had to jump on the bandwagon or sink.

i had fake spider farmer it gave me 1.5g/w. i did only 4 grows with it. i have no idea how good the original is with good diodes. but it did cost 5-6x less than the original.

It also keeps the use-hours lower by using one or 2 smaller lights, instead of running a huge expensive light and dimming it. Cost and efficiency are big factors for us as we are just growing for personal medicine, and not cash cropping.

Checked and found the XS2000 did have better PPFD. But It's not meet my require, I know the bar lights are the best, but the price is ...
