Too early for trouble! what is this?

Just a little girl, and I see this! Needs a little TLC?

need info to give you any tips on your set up or things to do...what dirt is that, water info, light info....just off the pic though nothing to really worry about, dont keep watering it when its soaked let it start to dry a bit.

just using dirt from here in NY -- grew two years ago and didnt have any issues --- i didnt water overnight -- i think that is just the moisture/dew from overnight... She gets full light 8/9 hours a day ---

Ill see how we are doing in a day or two --

need to wait a bit before start giving some nutes, right?

oh ya no nutes until about 8-12 inches..once you see roots poking through that thing, if you can, go out and buy a bag of organic good dirt. then it will have nutes for a while within the dirt already and also you will know its ph balanced also. better to start seedlings inside if they will be outdoor plants, and idk your situation in a place like new york but i doubt your able to just grow yourself a monster outdoors due to local law lol so really i wouldnt be growing outside at all in ny unless it was a well located guerilla grow..

What problem do you see?
I see a seedling just popped out of some soil...
NY right now is about 14 hrs and 26 minutes of sun...

lol i guess he himself must just only be getting 8 hours...

Be careful about full sun in the afternoon

im referring tothe browning on the edges...she is about 3" high and was germed inside.. should she not have full (14) sun yet?

Could be calcium deficiency, but that would be weird at such an early stage. Since you're just using dirt from outside, you may need to add a small amount of limestone.

in how many damn threads do i have to explain to you that a seedling isnt going to get a def. church? stop trying to give people advice your just guessing

Your advice to people is to completely change out perfectly good soil when you have no idea what the problem is because all you know is "reboot it when it don't work".

Seedlings can too have def. How do you expect immobile elements to transfer from the cotyledons to the first set of true leaves?

Owie! Everybody gets butthurt when they don't know the answer.It's a screwed up plant and the only person who knows what went wrong won't fess up.

lol no i told him to change the soil to ditch the delay release nutes not because i dont know whats wrong...i already stated everything that is/was wrong...and no a healthy proper seedling that just popped out with a set or two of leaves in a SOILESS medium, im not speaking for hydro, will not get a deficiency unless their is something majorly wrong such as a genetic issue or possibly absolutely dead dirt that is being over watered...we know that isnt the case because HE ALREADY FED THEM at that young age so how would it be a deficiency!?!? thats my opinion and im sticking to it

Its better to keep your mouth shut then remove all doubt.

So go grow a seedling in a hydroponic medium and just use pHed water and leave it that way for a few weeks and see what happens. It's not ideal at all.

The plant kermit's talking about on a different thread was way older than this sprout btw.

I've got news for you kermit.. not all soil has the same stuff in it. Some areas of the world have lots of calcium in their soils and some don't. Some soil is sandy. Some is silty, some clay etc etc. Notice how he just took some dirt from outside.

i understand that but i have planted directly outside in the shittiest clay soil (my first ever run) and idc what soil you grab outside it WILL have enough nutes to make it a few inches before needing to add anything..think about it, a brand new seedling is like an egg it takes its nutes from the endosperm then a root system starts to grow and that is fast finding new ground as new leaf sets emerge at the beginning and each bit of new ground the roots move to in that first cup, hold a bit of nutes. that means for a bit nothing is needed..thats a fact believe what you want im not going to argue with..already got yelled at for for calling people out on bad advice yesterday because i was apparently being a little over passionate
