Fimed couple of Autos .
They actually look pretty cool. Looks like 4 shoots coming up. This should be good.
We shall see!
Honestly, I only have a vague idea of what the difference between fimming and topping is... that said, I've been topping for years. It started with outdoor grows, where that giant primary cola was susceptible to mold, and if I had bud worms, the moths always attack the tallest branches. Indoors I kept up with it because it creates a much more even canopy. It just works for me.
I've been following another grower for a while who I really respect, to create his level canopy he always LST's them, one simple bend when they're young. So this grow I decided to top 3 and bend 3 -- bottom line, I'm sticking with topping. Less effort, better and more predictable shape. Mine are just into their sixth week, so I suppose I'll have more points of training comparison when I harvest them -- I'm curious with the bent ones how the main cola will compare in the end to the other primary colas and if one training method will put our more final weight than the other.
What motivated your fim choice?
