most potting soils have sticks in them as fillers, not really going to hurt anything imo. as far as feeding...I don't care to advise on that..i have not fed mine at all but I did amend with some worm castings ..mine look a little light colored as well but have decided not to feed until I see sex.I highly doubt it needs nitrogen so early in its growth....
a few girls i havnt fed at all this year and are completely healthy.
The medium your using looks like it has sticks in it, not ideal mj conditions.
Usually growers stick to a mainly Peatmoss base.
excess water will, you said its been really wet there..let it dry out. even if you have to cover it up when it rains.Okay thanks, I just kinda grabbed a soil that looked best with the time release nute and threw a shit ton n of perlite in it. Why would a seedlings lower leaves yellow in this case then? Could heat play a role?
Wow haha my babies aren't even close to flower yet.. that's too bad about the hermie, though given the amount of stress she went through, I'm not exactly surprised lol. I would post updates but I don't have much to talk about right now hahasapent about 20 min picking nuts off my bigger plant...bleh I knew it was going to hermie a little and it did.. Oh well just have to keep checking and picking now. On the positive side most of the pollen pods were on the lower branches so if I do miss one (and I know I will) hopefully I don't get many seeds oin the top.
on another note my 3 12/12 from seed are doing well, starting to throw them pistols out good now and I think im going to have some nice plants out of the deal, who knows maybe my hermie will pollinate one of them and ill end up with a nice mix up.
do you have an indoor setup?Wow haha my babies aren't even close to flower yet.. that's too bad about the hermie, though given the amount of stress she went through, I'm not exactly surprised lol. I would post updates but I don't have much to talk about right now haha
Unfortunately no, I'm not the homeowner so all I have been granted access to at the moment is the great outdoors lol. Can't complain, at least he let's us grow!do you have an indoor setup?
nah I pull the root ball righ up and hit it with the hose on "shower" setting, (in my DWC bucket not soil lol) don't want to use settings like jet because you will cut the roots. Are the roots sensitive to a water spray? Or is it just light that they don't like?
Anyway, finally starting to see quick growth now the temps have dropped to the low 80s for about a week. It's about time haha, I hate the heat
lol will be a nice blunt when its all done never know could surprise you with yield, wont be 10 ounces but may give ya a nice quarter or better. So, to my surprise, my seedling is already starting to flower. On the fourth node I can see little pistils and the 5th has even more. You ever seen this on a seedling so young?
