I haven't found that strain available in seed and just bought the pot at a compassion club in BC last Sept when I was out for 5 weeks helping my 89 yo mom move out of her big beautiful house in Peachland on the hill overlooking Lake Okanagan into a 5th wheel on a pad at my sister's place outside Kelowna, BC.
If you heat the oil up enough the pot decarbs in the oil and captures all the terpenes etc that are lost decarbing in the oven. The last batch I made was 20:1 with 50g popcorn bud and sugar trim in 1000g of oil and 8ml is a good dose. I made some with really good bud at 10:1 and 2ml put me on my ass.
I have a variac and use a crockpot to cook it in. I have to crank up the voltage to 120% to reach 260F. The bubbles from the decarb start coming off around 235 and by the time it hits 260 they are done. Has a nice nutty taste made with well cured pot but not bad tasting even with the trim that gets dry in a double paper bag in about 4 days.
Still have all my trim from the last harvest and a crop coming in now so will be busy once it's in making cocobudder, kief, oil and black gummy hash.
Headed back to BC in mid August for mom's 90th and get my med card renewed. Might just apply to grow legally this time. By then the new laws should be on the books so I can see if they are screwing with the medical program which they said they wouldn't.
Just sampling the Purple Kush I recently cropped and is it ever a couch lock buzz. Can hardly wait to grow out some of the seeds still ripening on what's left of the plant. Dusted some buds with pollen from an all CBD strain called OTTO#1. A female of that strain is going in the flower room real soon and will get some of that pollen too so I get me some seeds off her.
