Too much stretch??!

What's up guys I decided not to tuck my branches as much in my flower cycle and I was wondering what y'all thought..My.last grow went pretty well and my canopy was pretty even but I had a few bud sites that never met it's potential due to tucking in flower...So like I said I decided to tuck less and see if I could let them get taller and hopefully bigger buds

Getting a uniform canopy is always a chore, especially when running different strains or phenos. I train my girls to be as uniform as possible to max the light spread I'm working with.

Your light seems really high to me. Maybe its just the picture but I try to keep lights as close as possible to reduce stretch and increase light penetration of the canopy. My 1k hps is usually between 12-14 inches from my canopy. At 12 inches you get the amount of light the system is rated for, but at 24 inches you literally get 1/4 the light intensity because of the inverse square law.

Thanks man I'll look into how far away it is... Idk it just looked like when it was lower it wasn't giving the outer parts of the canopy enough light so I moved it up in hopes of covering more space.. Appreciate the observation I'll deff look into it...

I totally agree this grow deff doesn't seem as even as my last like I said I kinda did it on purpose to see the difference in the bud size.I kinda tucked the front down and not the back on this grow.. Here's a picture of my last grow the canopy was pretty even.

It just seems that way because after I flipped to the flower cycle I quit tucking the branches in the scrog...Plants always stretch the first few weeks of the flip it's even been said plants double in size when flipped... This was just an experiment I wanted to try and see if the taller branches make for better buds..Trial and error man just curious more than anything ..Im just hoping the stretch is done and it starts focusing more on the buds now...
