hi BBguy thanx for the reply..
they're 3 weeks old.. im feeding them GH flora series, going with the schedule written on the label, still on the seedlng dosage.. but i cranked up the dosage a bit when i thought they were big enough.. but i think they were getting burnt but im not sure.. i was giving them 2.5ml/gallon then went up to 5ml/gallon but cut back to 2.5ml/gallon again.. (2.5ml/gallon of each: floraGRO,floramicro, florabloom)
tell me what do u think of the last pic? does it look like nute burn or some kind of def?

Healthy looking plant i must say. Plant(s) since you said they. How many plants in there?

there are 2 plants in there.. i know theres only supposed to be one plant in a waterfarm but i was too scared to risk growing 1 and ending up with a male for my first grow :)
time for a newbie question.. since i have to plants in the bucket, do i put the same amount of nutes as if i was growing 1 or do i have to put more nutes??

I would go by the reccomended dose for the amount of water you have in the res instead of how many plants you have.

yee gawds, but that last 10-26 photo made me smile. Very artistic lighting, ha!

So that's a T5 fluorescent in a tent, right guess?

I haven't grown in a while, but if I can borrow a quotation---Smoking isn't addictive, but growing is.
About the two plants---when I messed with rockwool ten or so years ago, it was still cardinal law to never have dead material (read, roots from yanking male plant) left behind. So every plant had to have some boundary between their medium. But, talking to some cats at my local grow store recently (about a Waterfarm, even), they said that you can pull a plant as long as you add specific enzyme product to the feed. It dissolves the dead root material without hurting the live.
Have you heard of this? You might want to call in for some experienced advice, if you go that route. Heck, I'm curious. I'll watch here to see what they say!

wow stevenr thanx for the very useful info.. and thanx everyone 4 the replies.. yeah stevenr ur right theyre t5's in a 2'x2' tent
i was thinking about how to deal with the roots if i had to remove 1 of the plants.. i hope both r female.. if one turns out to be a male i'll be glad that u posted here.. i'll look into it from now just to be ready..
do u think if one turns out to be a male, that i can remove all the possible sites that are going to be pollens and just keep the plant living without affecting the other plant? instead of removing it and dealing with the roots? but now since i know that there is a special product for this i think its the best idea..

Hello liOn. They look great! Keep up the good work. .. Question.., how did you overcome the constant dripping of fertilizer on lower leafs in seedling stage? Also, how often did you water early on? I myself had some serious problems while using a waterfarm. My leafs were curled up and fringy(if thats a word), spindly, and droopy. Ended up ripping out plant and giving it to a neighbor to repot in soil for himself. I would like to make another go at it, but not looking at wasting a mkultra seedling. Any tips you can give me? Thanks.

Hello liOn. They look great! Keep up the good work. .. Question.....
hi texian.. when they were seedlings i used to keep the pump on for one hour 2 times a day, for about a week.. then i just kept the drip on all the time with the light cycle.. but there was always an airstone in the reZ from another pump which is on 24/7 even when they were seedlings..
I had the same problem with splashing when they were seedlings.. then i just put more pebbles and tried to let the drip touch the pebbles so they wont splash.. i hope that helped..

here is my water farm, i got one big happy northern lights plant. 18/6 flower for 4 weeks 12/12 till shes done.
the watering cycle ison for 15 off for 45 then on for 10 off for 30 when the lights are turned off

Have you had PH problems with your waterfarm? I have been a soil grower for over 30 years and decided to try hydroponics this year and I am having one hell of a time keeping my PH down. I am using distilled water and GH nutes. I have PH, TDS and Temp meters. The temp in the grow room is a constant 76, plenty of air circulation, 400 MH/HPS switchable.

I soaked my rockwool in 5.8 PH and am only using the small Grodan plugs to germinate (which has been extremely fast, 2 days tops). I even soaked the hydroton in 5.8 for 72 hours. The hydroton seems to be the culprit, I tested the water the Hydroton was soaking in after just one hour and it was already at 6.8.

Anyway man I know I am not supposed to lay my problems on your thread, your plants look great.
