Top 44

I have been growing for a year now.

My yields are my main concern. I've been using Top 44 all of my grows and I've had about 10-12 harvest under my belt running few aeroponics systems at the same time.

I'm using GHE Aeroflo20 in DarkRoom tents for maximum reflection and darkness as well to keep all smell in it going out through the filter and the heat through the cooltube. So its a very controlled environment. Every thing is perfect except for CO2 which is probably very lacking.

So I've been thinking about changing strains. I love the Top 44 for its growing speed and low flowering time (I get it in 44 days always). And also it is easy to clone, I have one mother to make about 60 clones per month. But the yields are terrible.

My best yield is 25g per plant or my best yield per watt was 0,5.

Has anyone had any experience with Top 44? I've searched many threads and It seems that not so many have tried it because I found almost no info or grow journals.

Thinking about changing strains, have read about NL and critical mass and they seem to be the candidates. What are your thoughts about all of these three strains?

25g is only 3g off from an ounce, so its not that bad

What version of Top44 did you find the 44 dayer? nirvana or HGF?

The Top44 was ok yrs ago, but there are phenos in the Nirvana stock that kind suck and take around 8-9 weeks.

As for a different strain, there is Shiva Skunk, great commercial type of producer and excellent fruity flavors, there are 2 phenos that show up, grape koolaid and the other is like some kind of berries all mixed up together it is what I have used for yrs. and always pure NL does good if you get the real one, not a knock-off. Critical Mass I found very bland in flavor, good yeild but it did go 65 days. but that flavor was so bland it was like hay. This was the same for the 6 females I got out of a pack, except one was faster about 55 days but yeilded much less.

Don't know what version. Got a clone from a friend, but it always finishes in 44 days so that 8-9 week pheno is out.
Was it Nirvana who had/has the pure NL?

i love top44 for the same reason! it s a very fast plant, and it cause a nice buzz too!
Do you mean 25g per plant when you dry out the buds, or when they are fresh?? Because if you mean withered, i think that it's enough good!

Yea I'm growing top 44 right now. I haven't flowered it yet, but it seems to be probably the slowest vegging plant I have ever seen!.. My top 44 was at about 5 inches tall when I transplanted my sative dominate JUST rooted clone. And now, That clone is about 5 inches taller than the Top 44. I dunno if you've noticed an extremely slow veg time, but I feed all my plants the same. And this plant, by far, is the slowest vegging plant I have ever seen. Maybe part of the reason the yield isn't so fantastic. I'm excited to flower it tho!

25g per plant withered. But that is way above my batting avr and there wore other strains in there too. My avr is 15g per plant.
