Top dressing with new soil in flower

Any issues with topping off my plant with new soil during flower? As time has moved forward the soil has compressed some.

Would adding more soil cause any issues now? I would assume I would need to back off of the nutrients if I did so.

Any information would be helpful

Thanks

Pics help, but you can always add more soil. And don't kick my ass. If the avatar is really you I wouldn't fuck with ya, lol.

Here's the pics we were talking about.

Thanks. If I do decide to do this should I back off on nutes for a bit?View attachment 4653234View attachment 4653235View attachment 4653236
Looks good. You can also add some perlite or pumice to the top dressing to lighten it up. Then next round if you want to reuse your soil, just mix perlite or pumice in it and it will have way better drainage for next time. Stops the compaction issue. I use pumice since I'm doing no-till. Perlite breaks down.

It's up to you on nutes. Top dressing is gonna be pretty mild though so you can probably just keep feeding like you have been.

You could also use that extra room to throw down some mulch like straw, or wood chips to keep your soil moist.

Depending on what kind of nutrients you're using, it might be cool top add a couple inches of compost or worm castings.

More soil is cool too. If you do top your pots off, I wouldn't worry to much about the nutrients in that small amount soil, just keep up your regular routine.

I’d just skip one feeding after adding the soil, then pick back up where you left off after that
