top plant,clone then lst 2 colas?

hey watup this is my 5th grow under 600 watt hps i wanna top my plants clone tops then lst the 2 new main colas i get of each plant 1 sativa hybrid(grape gum)and 1 pure indica(spiritual punk) im afraid the indica may not take to this as well i dont want to break the stalk i was thinking of putting electrical tape around it any ideas advice or experience?

you don't want to break the stalk but you want to clone the tops? Just take the cuttings off of the top MJ plant are very residues and can survive in very harsh conditions. Why do you want to put electrical tape around the stalk? any pictures?

no im thinking of doing that this gow i think if its taped tight right below the cut it wont snap the stalk in half just in case from the lst

hmm if you are going to don't use black electrical tape otherwise it will absorb the heat from the light and cause the stem to rot. If you slowly lst you can gradually lower it more and more and the stem should hold.
