Topping after Flowering stage?

In early March I started growing two plants on my balcony. Around a month ago, I first noticed the pistils starting to show and a week ago I started taking them into my blackout closet at night for a schedule of 10/14. Now here's my predicament:

My Plants have started growing quicker! And now they're gonna start peaking out over the top of my balcony. And I don't want anyone to see them. If I were to top the plants now, would that hurt them now that they're a week into flowering stage? Also, I may be moving on July 1st and there is still no sign of budding, just crazy amount of pistils. Am I gonna be screwed with only 5 weeks? I've attached a picture if that helps...

Welcome to RIU, and the wonderful world of cultivating the world's most misunderstood and feared medicines!!!

The only 'advice' I can give you or anyone is to read and learn and then apply what you have read and learned to your garden and you cannot fail. Anyways, remember the search tool is your friend...Lots of folks here willing to help a new farmer get up and growing. But at the end of the day your grow will be only as good as the knowledge and work you put into it.

It is always great to ask questions but do not take anyone's advice or opinions and follow blindly. And remember anyone may have a well-known member status…but that means they have posted and responded to many threads and does not always mean well-educated growerz. Do your own research, you will be much happier knowing you have done it for yourself and by yourself. The first buzz you get from your own budz...is by far the BEST high you will ever have!

Do a search using your current question as the keyword(s) and ZOOOM!! Like Wonka's Great Glass Elevator…off you go to tons of threads answering all your questions. Read all the Newbie Central stickies and learn…

Soaking up all that information and sifting through it, is going to take time. You will likely finish your first grow by then. Viola! grow complete and education well under way.

Topping during flowering IMHO will have no positive effect and give undue and unneeded stress. Better to gently bend the tops down.

just ensure nobody can see over that wall

and a repot is due once you got settled in

or hang some cfl's in ur dark room place

Roughly when do you think it'll be ready to harvest? will bending it stop growth or just cause it to grow in a downward direction. Don't wanna harm it. Thanks for the help!!

Bending will do neither. They will continue to grow towards the light which is straight up. You will need to keep bending them to keep them below your balcony. They are going to stretch quite a bit in the next 2-3 weeks.

Really appreciate the advice and I certainly am making sure I get the most education I can and making my own decisions. And I understand the abundance of threads - I wouldn't have posted if I could find answers to my two questions though, and I couldn't. At least not with the specifics of my situation. Maybe I'm a bad searcher...

I do want it to bud now! I live in SoCal and it stays outdoors for about 10 hrs and inside for about 14 in complete dark

I'm sure I could. As a matter of fact, where I move to might actually be better for it to finish flowering. It's the transportation from my current place to my new place Im worried about. Don't know how comfortable I'd be with driving two 3-4 ft plants that are halfway through budding around. Maybe I could cover them with a sheet? Just trying to avoid it if possible, ya know? Thanks for all your help

Just to get this straight...all you are concerned about is getting them from point A to point B...you have 2 plants that you just began flowering...and you are worried about transporting 2 plants in full flower, which they will be by July 1st...right?

How far away are you moving? If it is not that far...and as long as you don't have something like this on your rear window... Transport.png You may be ok...LOL!!!

JK It is your freedom...Personally I would not risk mine for a couple of plants.

You could put them back outside to reveg and start the flowering process when you get to your new place or find nice secluded spot outside and let nature take its course. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I'm sorta in the same issue with height. 26 days past flip.and my glues are 4" below my glass hoods. Bought 800' of 8lb twine and going to be bending them bishes over. Gonna have a limbo party in the flower room. In about 1 week, they will grow back up to the light like after a super crop, but with out pinching the stems.and causing unneeded stress.
