Topping and Supercropping Autoflower

Those look great, I tried outdoor and it ended horribly. I kept one auto inside till about week 3 then slowly introduced it to sunlight and that went fine then next morning and I gave her a full night outside I go out to check on her and the entire 5 gallon pot is full of these tiny bugs I’m thinking fungus gnats and the plant was pretty much dead lol

If the plant is healthy there is no loss of veg time, that's just a pernicious autoflower myth. In fact my current Moby Dick XXL is the first auto I've not topped and it's taking the longest time to flower of any I've ever grown by a fair margin. Topping an auto has not effect on it's rate of growth it will just alter its shape to something that works better.
When do you usually top ? I took a shot in the dark and did it at the 3rd node and it seemed to work out. I was trying to do a completely natural grow as in organic nutes and no training but I became height limited very fast lol

Topping is usually done on the 3rd or 4th node for best results, usually I'll go for four if I can, especially if it's one plant. However I recently planted 3 beans in one pot so I only wanted 2 nodes on each, the first node was removed they were grown to the fourth node and I used 2 nodes on each. However it also depends on the plant.
If the first node is strong I might let it go and use four, if the first node is weak I might cut that and use 2 3 and 4th node. 3 is good because it's easier to control. Just using two nodes my Pink Grapefruit still produced 6.75 zips.
The Pink Grapefruit had leggy limbs and the other Pineapple Gum had short tight limbs, however both of them bent to my will and grew out just four main branches. After a few toppings you develop a feel for it, but Autos really really like to be topped, it improves their whole structure. So even two nodes works.

Here’s a little update on how she’s doing, day 27 now and she looks like she’s in transition from veg to bloom, lots of preflowers and bud sites popping up. She’s still recovering from a little nitrogen toxicity but other than that doing great ! Can’t wait to see full bloom

No topping or transplanting for autos is an old myth. Its old outdated info from autos when they first were introduced and nowhere near the top quality of some good autos today.

Topping is easy. If by 3 weeks give or take 2-3 days she has 5 nodes and is healthy i top her. If not growing well(noted by lacking 5 nodes) or bad leaves(heat or food issues) than i don't want to stunt. Transplanting is easier to decide on as all you nees to do is search a thred in autos by McStrats called "So you can't transplant autos". It's not at all hard to find evidence of topping autos if you look. It's either photo growers than still shame autos cause they can't grow them or new growers that keep pushing the idea these methods don't work.

Thanks I'm always up to learn new things. I can at least try on a couple of them.
As far as transplanting, they are in 5 gal pots, I planted them into where they are going to stay. I saw many people saying put autos into the final container. Being this is my first auto ever I wanted to play it safe.
