Topping Clones that have grown without perfect symmetry?? Can it be done?

In about ten days, I will be harvesting my Blue Mystic ladies, which were my first attempt at topping, and I'm pretty pleased looking at them.

Thing is, I have some nice looking clones to replace them, but as with all clones that have taken, they don't grow perfectly symmetrical, and each stem is slightly offset, like so (please see pic) . Will I still be able to top them if I cut at an angle, or do I have too chop, right at the top?? I'm sure I saw a topping guide that says you can do this, but I think I would be happier cutting between 2 at an angle, not sure it will work though

PICS WILL HAVE TO WAIT AS PHOTO MANAGER ISN'T WORKING AT MOMENT

Any input would be great

The "unsymmetrical" stems you are referring to are often called "alternating nodes" and it's usually nothing more than a hint that they are begging to be flowered. I top mine in this way and have no problems. Some plants finish out with a giant Y shape top instead of a single cola but I have no problems doing so. I have even cut a plant essentially in half at the main stalk to control it's height and it recovered just fine :)

Thanks for all the input!

So just to be sure, you are saying that I can cut diagnally between them?? I'm a real ask twice, cut once kind of person :)

You can let your dog chew the top off and they will be topped - why the fuck do people try to make things seem difficult.

Drop your fucking light on them and that will top them ... it isn't a science, it's a weed.

Wicked, well that'll save me the effort, i'll smear some some meat juice on the top of my plant and call the dog in! :)

A few days on, and one of my plants looks like topping may have resulted in 3 stems reaching an equal height... i''ll keep my eye on that one, could be something a little more interesting to look at than your usual topped lady
