Topping Clones

Hey peeps.
Is there a preferred way to top a Healthy clone ?
The Uncle Ben method worked GREAT on the original plants,
but not sure how to approach topping on the kiddo's.:?:

It might be a moot point, as i cut the clones after the 12/12 switch.
I read somewhere here that they branch like crazy when cloned during flowering.
Just wanted to bounce it off you guru's.:peace:

I prefer to FIM plants in veg rather than top them completely. A proper FIM removes 80-90% of the top bud that would get completely removed with a regular topping job. FIM'ing will give you a shorter, bushier plant same as topping without the same amount of stress. Most important (for me) -- I get pretty much the same 3-4 top colas with a FIM and topping is more unpredictable. Maybe it's just me, but, I get better results FIM'ing than topping. BigSteve.

I top my clones just the other day. topped them after the 4th node and they are doing great right now. if you make a good clean cut plant shouldn't stress that much. i top everything on my plants side branches and all and never had a problem. just my 2 cents

Thanks guys.
The two that I cloned two week ago are already shooting up side branches.
Think I will try a fim and see what happens.
Cut two more from my Indica that's flowering like crazy.
They should be interesting soon !
