topping during flowering

Just a question about topping plants. I just learned recently that you can "top" plants by cutting off the highest piece on the main stem, above the highest node, and that it creates a fork (2 colas). I also heard that you shouldn't do this during flowering. I've been flowering for a week now and would really like to try doing this but I don't know what to do now. Anyone got tips?

Do you know how 2 fim? U can apply it in 12/12 as soon as she starts to flower. What will happen is 4 crowns on one Girthie bud. Per fim.

hmm..not worth it eh

no i dont know how to fim. how do you do it and why? and what do you mean by "crowns"?

Fiming is something done in veg, I fim all plants at 6" high so the I have more tops, and the hormones are dived up instead of going straight up there meristem into one cola.
I tryed in 12/12 and was amazed. First one should try it in veg to understand.

Fimming is actually no different that topping, what fimming does is virtually the exact same thing only your leaving part of the new growth. This only takes of part of the new growth and actually topping the very very new growth which is very hard to see.

What this ends up doing is making it seem as if your getting 4 new tops right next to eachother when its actually only 2 at the very top (like topping) but since it was cut so closely to the next newest set of fanleaves 2 branches which would have formed there anyways seems to make it look like there is 4 new tops.
This is how you go about doing this.

1. Locate the very top of the new growth
2. With a clean sterilized scissors, Fold the fan leafs over and cut approximately 80% of the new growth off the plant.
Thats IT!!!! you should be well on your way to Topping and Fimming of your plants.

you do think fimming would be a good idea for me in my situation though? i am going to grow 2 females on one level of the closet and 1 fat female on the other level (each level has dimensions 2 feet X 1.5 feet X 4 feet high)

do you think it would be better to fim my one fat plant or my two smaller ones? im thinking it might be better for the big one since it has more outward space to grow..

any opinions?

Yep there set for flowering, no stressing. But you can always LST. just bend them over and tie the branch down if needed.
