I have a couple LSD strains 20 days since sprout and am looking into when I should top them. My plant has 6 nodes with a 7th on the way. Does the first set of leaves (the 1 leafers) count as a node? How developed should the top nodes be until I top it? I am wondering too if cutting above the 3rd node rather than the 2nd would still result in 4 main colas? My bottom 2 leaf sets seem weak so does an extra set of leaves help much? Also, after the top is it necessary to veg longer? and How far behind would the tops be behind the plants if I decided to clone it? any advice/tips are welcome.

you could always use the bits you are chopping off as a clone. IE: the top

clip the bottom 2 , top on the 5th = eight colas , give time 2 bush out before flowering and ure gtg . good luk ..

So I should clip right above the second one? also are you counting the very first 2 leaves at the bottom (the one leafers)
Im talking about the first leaves that are jagged, they are each 1 leaf each. (sorry for not clarifying) Is this the first "true" node that Uncle Ben's topping method includes?
