Topping then flipping?

I am preparing a sea of green grow and wanted to top the plants to try and get a little extra weight out of them.

I want to top them after 2 weeks of veg then flip them into flower immediately after. Is this a wise move or should I give them another week to recover from the topping?

most things i read seem to agree that you should top plants after the third nodes so it's all up to your girls how long you need to wait before doing it

The latest iv topped before flower has been 8 days & it wasn't nearly as successful as my usual 14 days, others may disagree but if i didnt have anytime to let them recover from topping before flower then i wouldn't bother at all & maybe think about LST instead.

A sea of green usually is when you take clones from a mother let them root and then imediately flower them in 1 gallon pots without topping at all Instead of topping you remove side branches in order to have a single COLA on each plant. Are you sure u r on track with your plan? I hope iam not answeing like a dick,i am trying only to help.

I wouldn't to this late. Toppin is meant to spread out the canopy surface area By branching out two to four main branches w/ bud sites all the way up. If you top then flip they wont have time to branch out. You will just end up with a couple baby cola's instead of a bigger main cola. If you let them vegg for a few weeks after topping then you will be ok. Check out uncle ben's topping technique. It explains better than I can.

SOG can be anything it doesn't have to be clones, its just about utilizing the space you have with the maximum amount of plants you can squeeze in there focusing the ligh mainly on the top. If you top man IMO I would wait a week at least before flipping, give it time to heal. Good Luck

After 2 weeks of vegging your plants are still seedlings. You will benefit greatly in the yield department if you veg a week or 2 after topping. BigSteve.

I top a lot. Like 6 to 8 times a plant. The last topping before flower I will always wait about two weeks after to flip to flower. Then you have solid new growth for the tops.
