Topping to early/low.

Think I took it a little too far ,wondering what will become of this mistake if it is indeed one.

First time toping obviously ,to the more experienced members will the two stems become main colas?,and also will plant continue to grow vertical or have I completely fucked it up and it will be this short forever?

Cutting your plants in veg is not easy on any new grower. Truth is though the earlier the better ... more tops is always great but almost more importantly letting the roots outgrow the top plant is key .

Where are all the fan leaves? The stem looks like the plant has been alive for at least 3-4 weeks but lacks any leaf matter to show for it.

If I were you I would let it do it’s thing for the next 7-10 days and re analyze the situation. It’s hard to tell but it looks like you may be stripping to much of the plant too early, let her live a little.

Yeah... I got the bright idea to trim the two five point finger leafs.I have amazing root structures the plant is the best of my bunch ,I’m affraid I’ve fucked up and topped way to early and will have a three node plant for the length of the grow .

Will I have anymore vertical growth or have a midget as a result of my ignorance?

If it’s your first time growing this plant who knows? Too early to say..., IMHO I think it is beneficial to cut early as u did. Allot depends on genetics pheno of the plant , I think your off too a great start . You should eventually find a middle ground of not to bushyor not to lanky.

That thing is going to be nice in a few weeks..

This is so true,to this day,I still hate to top my plants... but I do it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it...

Leaves are still green, and she isnt showing any signs of major stress. Stop fucking with her, give her a couple week to grow out, and she'll be fine.

ALSO, if you plan on doing any LSTing, id start now while the new tops are still very young and pliable... less risk of accidentally breaking stems

I was literally just looking at it thinking about going for the LST, glad I’m somewhat on the rite page with all this.

yeah I did this cut almost exactly myself a couple months ago, and while it is a little soon to do in hindsight, she turned out perfectly fine so I'm sure you'll be fine. Will just need a few days to bounce back and take off.

Rite on that makes me feel a whole hell of a lot better I was convinced I had beheaded her way to early .

Any advice from you guys on where to LST,is it the top two nodes or all four?

As others have noted you’ll be fine if you let her live a little

Albeit minimal, the leaf matter that is there looks healthy which is great I just feel if you had more of it you would experience quicker plant growth.

I would LST all 4 branches to get them growing horizontally and spreading out instead of up. I waited a bit to LST on mine and it kinda screwed me over for the manifold I was wanting to create. Still came out fine but could've been better.

again this would be my first time doing any of the techniques and everything was fine and then on of two growths broke smh ,the more I touch them ,the more I fuck them up will this grow back at all?

Yeah it takes some practice, after a bit you'll know just how far they can be bent before breaking. It likely won't grow back at all but it might. I topped mine and she grew two new shoots just below my cut, had to cut those off too.

I mean I appreciate the learning aspect of it but damn man..my canopy will be fucked now from looks of it.
