The only reason I topped them earlier is because one turned out to be a male so I was trying to get the most out of this one being it would put out more colas correct?Topping for height control is usually considered last resort. Height control is better done with LST (low stress training. Tie down those branches to where they are all the same height, this will spread them out horizontally however so make sure you have the space.
Sorry to hear about the male lol. How many times have you topped this one? Topping combined with good LST could result in 18-24 Kolas easy. As long as you have the space for that to keep your plant stretched out, she would be a monster producerThe only reason I topped them earlier is because one turned out to be a male so I was trying to get the most out of this one being it would put out more colas correct?
My grow is a 5x5. 600w hps. I've topped this one (correction) 3 times total ( 1 time ) at the 4th node then today I have 3 plants total. The other 2 is 3 weeks behind this one so I don't care to veg it as long as I need to. It just hit pre flower 2 days agoSorry to hear about the male lol. How many times have you topped this one? Very nice. A 5x5 will be plant of space to heavily LST those 3 girls! You can more heavily tie down the older one, it will be much wider than the others but that’s how you can keep all 3 the same height. Once you’re ready to start buying seeds, I highly suggest Seedsman.com. They carry tons of breeders and strains. I’m currently running Blueberry by Seedsman and Wedding Cake by Barney Farm Seeds and they are looking and smelling wonderful! My grow is a 5x5. 600w hps. That's a nice looking crop. Im so ready to be at that stage lol. How long can I veg this one I currently topped for? She's at 45 days.Very nice. It’s a good feeling for sure lol. If only I could keep the smell at bay. If I’m remembering correctly you are growing in a 5 gallon Bucket right? Rule of thumb to avoid becoming root bound is 1 month of growth per gallon of medium. You could easily grow that plant for a total of 5 months and not have to worry about becoming root bound as long as you are feeding and watering properly. Considering you are a month and a half in and flowering will take at least 2 months maybe up to 3, id say you can probably go another month of Veg. What soil are you using and what nutes? That's a nice looking crop. Im so ready to be at that stage lol. How long can I veg this one I currently topped for? She's at 45 days.
Well, I went into this grow blind. So the best thing I could come up with giving the circumstances of availability, ocean Forrest/happy frog mix with extra earth worm castings, dynomyco used in transplant one day ago. How do you recommend to feed during flowering since they're in a 5gal? Or is one more transplant possible into a better mix soil? It’s a good feeling for sure lol. If you are worried, you could transplant again into a 7 gallon. If you decide to go that route I would highly suggest using Fabric Pots. They allow your roots to have the maximum amount of oxygen which will really make the plant explode with growth, also will greatly diminish the risk of any type of root rot of stagnant water which could produce mold or pest. The better the drainage the better your plant will thrive. I’ve used those soils mixed together but found I needed to add perlite for better drainage. Also, once you begin feeding, that soil can hold on to salts and make your Ph run out of balance so I’d make sure to do a flush every month once you begin feeding nutes. Also adding dolomite lime can help keep the soil PH neutral. With what you have, and not transplanting again I bet you have more than enough nitrogen for the entirety of your grow, however you will want to start supplementing Bloom nutes once you start seeing the first sign of flowering. You’ll want something very low in nitrogen, and high in P and K for mid flowering, then higher in K for late flowering. I’d suggest using Tiger bloom and Cha-Ching from Fox dark since you are already using their soil. The other mid flower soluble they have isn’t needed in my opinion. Also you could look into Bud Candy by advanced nutrients. This is a carb feed and will help those buds really swell up!Well, I went into this grow blind. Allright. I appreciate it man. And I did use some extra perlite. As I mixed 5 gal at a time I added 2 good hand fulls of perlite per bucket. Was afraid I would add too much. I actually was looking into the fabric pots but wasn't sure if my core would be too tall coming out of a 5gal bucket. Even considered using a 10 gal fabric pot to be safe everything would work.and this one is showing pre flower, hit 2 days ago so I need to get on the bloom nutesIf you are worried, you could transplant again into a 7 gallon. I like your advice but when it comes to Bloom nutes or carb loading I tell most peeps to stay away. Especially if they are new. I have grown a long time and I don't use bloom nutes or extra sugar at all.If you are worried, you could transplant again into a 7 gallon. Would you recommend a top dressing for any flowering nutes I'm lacking or just go with the bloom nutes? And I purchased lime the other day, was not dolomite lime. Have you ever done side by sides using bloom nutes and not? Not sure of your medium but the science makes sense. I don’t doubt however you can go a full run with out extra nutes though! You must have your grow really dialed in!I like your advice but when it comes to Bloom nutes or carb loading I tell most peeps to stay away. Especially if they are new. most limes are abou t the same when it comes to acidity. Dolomite lime contains magnesium while I’m pretty sure other limes either don’t are so not contain near as much. I had a Calcium and Magnesium issue so that dolomite lime is really what I needed. You should always make sure it is powdered or pulverized as granules are extended released and take a long time to break down I. Soil and become available for the plants. If you are really wanting to go organic then too dressing is the way to go and is less work. You can normally too dress just a couple times throughout the grow and have what you need. I however have t experimented much with too dressing so I wouldn’t feel comfortable trying to advise you on that and screw your grow up lol.Would you recommend a top dressing for any flowering nutes I'm lacking or just go with the bloom nutes?
