topping twice.

Hey guys been searching and alot of the info is just for basic topping 1 time. Do I follow the same guidelines for topping twice? (let it grow till the 5th node and chop around the 3rd. I topped my money maker and its taking off! Would like to top it again. Ill try and get some pics up later tonight.

Man I grew that money maker from strain hunter. My plant loved to be topped and supercropped as well as some LST. As far as topping when you see the new shoots growing out as soon as you can get between the new top growth you can top again. Look into supercopping and lst

I am just about to harvest 2 gurlz that were multi-topped, fimmed, super-cropped, and Scrog netted. There are growerz that add more training methods as well...it is all growerz choice. As for when and where to top, one of my gurlz was topped and fimmed as soon as I saw a pinch able top. I did this for the first 3 to 4 weeks of vegging. She is going to be harvested next weekend with 19 tops...under 400w in soil.

OMFG. Lol well should I keep all 5 plants with just 2 tops or should I double them to 4? I'm under a 300watt LED till I can harvest and buy another. I also need to get more t5 bulbs

All 3 of my lemon kush and my 1 OG kush just got topped today at the 3rd node. Watering tomorrow and will top again when possible :) I might try my hand at mainlining.....

You have posted in my grow before (first grow) with my lemon kush, OG kush, and money market I'll be topping and super cropping since they are my first photo! :) hope to make monsters compared to my NL which I say looks great for a first grow

Can't really offer an opinion on that...never done it. But good luck to you. I have been seeing a lot of postings and video tutorials...looks interesting. I may try it sometime.

Has anyone topped at under 3 nodes before? I've done it once with success but it ended up being a male plant in the end hahaha(regular seed) but has anyone done this with a female with success

In my current grow I have an LSD and a Violator Kush...the first time I topped the LSD was just 6 days after she came out of the soil. I topped the V.K. 2 days later. I will be harvesting next Saturday and I predict 5-6 ounces dry weight.

I am not advising anyone top so early in their grow, just because I did it mine...

I'm in with you. Mind showing what you current plant was at using fingers as place holders where nodes were? Seems crazy I'm just curious
(Place the middle finger where the node was when cut another for how tall it was?

HMMM...I love showing off my gurlz...BUT, inter-active bud porn...I think not! LOL!!!

I have pics in my journal...I will add you to my followers list or you will not be able to view it...security reasons LOL!!

OG Kush responds well to topping. My only suggestion is to use the topping technique to help even out the canopy. I've got a strawberry kush lady flowering I topped three times and supercropped it.

300w led does not have a big coverage. At 5 plants with 2 tops each i would go with that. Supercrop to get big stems and slow verticle growth

You can also "top" at more than just the top, eh? If I want a plant to be real bushy at the top I will "top" the highest 4 or 5 growing spots all at the same time. If you plan it right you can use the trimmings as clones. Bonus!
