Topping without having 2 fresh nodes?

Saludos!

I have some 15 days old plants that are developing their 5th node, now. They seem to be ready for topping or fimming.

One has split the stem into 4 branches, at the fourth node (not 2 branches, like the rest of them) and then there is fresh growth in the middle of the 4 branches.
Now, I want to cut this fresh growth, to top it, so the 4 branches to become 4 main stems, 4 collars. But I am not sure I am making a mistake because there is no new node at the base of each of these 4 branches. Only 4 leaves (the first 7 fingers leaves) but not that fresh tiny growth that you should top in between.
So, my dilemma is, if I cut the main stem, will these 4 leaves turn into main stems, or it will basically kill the plant?

Thanks and all input will be much appreciated!

You CAN top. I wouldn't, they're still pretty small. But you definitely can.
