This is a ice cream cake clone I have in a 10 gallon pot that is in a 3x3x8 grow tent with a 600 hps light. As you can see I've bent it over in an attempt at training it. Right now it's showing 3 good "tops", my question is how should I and how much should I top for maximum yield and tops? I want to LST without a trellis net.

You don't top imo. You continue training as needed. Why would you cut off the most developed part of your plant?

Leave that plant alone. You got lucky as hell that it developed the tops naturally like that. Let it be until it gets bigger. You probably won't have to do much other than stake those 3 tops up.

No. No no no. He can get way more of a yield if he trains this plant correctly. Should he top it? No.

Should he LST it when it is a bit bigger to gain more of a canopy and colas?

Fuck yes.

3 Colas ain't gonna do it.

The only "training" that I did was I bent the plant over and then put a hook on it so it won't stand back vertical, as of now I plan to leave the hook attached (adjusting as needed) until flowering but by then I'm definitely trying to maximize my yield. Any suggestions?

I suggest continuing what you are doing with new shoots as the grow. Try to keep them all at the same height. But the more you train the more bud sites (colas) you obtain.

Imo just keep training it with LST for now. then as more nodes grow out you'll get more tops. Pull those down etc. until your happy with the size and number of tops. If the main stem or other tops are getting too tall over the rest of the canopy then try topping or super cropping when its a bit more mature. Just keep spreading it out and try to arrange an even canopy best you can.

I didn't realize you bent it over. Yeah, continue with that process. I thought you lucked into a rare triple topper, it's your training that's doing that. Keep up the good work.
