I have been growing for a while now in flood/drain. just switched to top feed buckets (5 gal). My plants can grow about 3 ft tall. I want to achieve 4oz/plant or more. I dont have much expeirnce with topping so i am hoping that someone can tell me or has pics to show when to top and how many times. i am planning on vegging for 4 weeks. I am growing a hybrid Blueberry x white widow

Is it true, when you top, 1/2 the energy goes to each cola, therefore giving 1/2 size 2 colas as oppose to one same size, if you do not top

Cutting the top of the plant just doesnt seem right to me.

I dont see how damaging the plants main attempt at reproduction enables it to genenerate more bud than it would have if left fully intact.

Wouldnt evolution have favored two main colas if that was a better way to use the plants resources to generate the most flowers (bud)?

In nature, more buds = a greater chance of catching pollen, and therefore reproducing.

I have noticed that the effects of topping extend beyond the two adjacent colas to the cutting site. Secondary growth throughout the entire plant seems to be more robust in my experience.
