Topping?

I was informed topping your plant makes it less tall and more bushy? Thats kinda what im going for.
im sure you guys will know more than me and i just wanted to get some information on it. heres a pic of my plant its a little over three weeks old.. If i get enough information i want to try it myself so pleasee help me out? :]

yes topping it does make it really bushy let the plant get a little older and snipp off the top of it, it will soon start two new branch sites the plant will not get as tall and will be bushy but let the plant get 7 or 8 set of leafs before topping

Here are my girls 9 days after topping using uncle ben's topping tech. My first time topping. They have bounced back nicely. Glad I did it. Still in veg gonna switch to flower in a couple days. They are 33 days in.
