Tornados and Major Thunder Storms

I turned off my light becuz of the storm and we r supposivly gonna loose electricty will my babies be ok if i turn the light back on after storm if we dont loose electric??Did this for percautions i hope i didnt screw shit up 4 weeks into flowering....Or did i mess up just becuz i turn off the light before it started like a freaking retard.........

well with flowering more darkness isnt bad.... the plants need atleast 12 hours of dark so as long as they get that i wuld think they wuld b fine

yeah well boss these are autos but i said fuck it and turned the light right back on...maybe off a minute hope that doesnt do anything shouldnt but we will see...looks like its gonna just miss us...Listening to stupid people and getting freaked out thats all

don't surge protectors prevent damage in this case.

I pretty sure i have it plugged into 1 but im just over doing it thats all just didnt want the bulb to blow or ballast be messed up just in case...

A power outage shouldn't hurt a proper ballast/hid set up using surge protector and other such outlets. Autos should get at least 18 hours of light a day. If the power is going off more than every couple hours I'd shut down. Also be careful as some ballasts won't wait the 15-25 min they say you should wait to turn the light back on after turning it off.

Make the switch to LED like me and you don't have to worry about any of that

I do believe im gonna get 3 of the blackstar 240 2on the colas and 1 for the under growth..Thats the plany anyway..

man the damn storm is here now its like an hr late....my quatum started right back up with no signs damage..but if i loose power ill jst shut it down till whenever and hope all is well and maybe give them a day st8 of light to catch up i run the 18-6 cycle off at noon on at 6pm off durning the hot part of the day..
