totally new, need to gain knowledge

never been registered on a forum. never grew or even tried. i've been googling for hours now, and it seems like im back at square 1.
the thing is i have decent sized room in a basement, in a rural area which in my opinion would be perfect breeding grounds, all i need is the knowledge to get started.
all the slang and abbreviations are kind of hard to understand, watts and what not but i will catch on.
my big Q is what would be the perfect seed, and method for a time period of 3 months. i'm sure i could get everything down, i'm not retarded, just need a jump start.
if i would start in late spring, could i roll one in early fall?
if anyone out there will work with me here a little by helping me out to get started, u know karma will return ))

You can start now and roll one in about 12 weeks if you run 12/12 light cycle from the second you put the seed in the pot. The plant will flower as soon as it's ready too almost.

I'm currently on 9 weeks and 6 days from seed and I'll probably be done by 13 to 14 weeks.

As for the perfect seed? Well that all comes down to opinion, what is your favourite smoke?

ya you could harvest by fall. You have so much to learn that no one could ever explain it to you. It will take some passion to drive you. Motivation maybe, whatever it is you came to a good place to start. Questions, ask away. I sit at home all day and watch plants grow.

First of all I can make u a list of shit you need what's your budget and start with bag seed bc there free and it won't matter how many seedlings you kill in your journey to growing beautiful mj plants

Preparing a budget is good. Also, develop some grow expectations (1 oz every 90 days, 1 lb every 90 days?).

For a new grower, I would recommend Northern Lights or AK 48. Also, I would start w/soil, not hydro.
If you can get a clone, great. Otherwise, start from seed & vegetative grow (lights 18/6) for 3-4 weeks. Flip the light to 12/12, and flower for 8 weeks.
That is a 12 week grow plan! Remember, you will have to harvest/dry/cure afterwards!

Obviously, there is a lot of additional info needed to fill in the gaps (equipment, soil, nutrients, harvesting, etc.). Lot of good info on this site - consider reviewing the 'newbie' forum & reading some of the sticky threads.
