Trace mineral drops in RO water instead of synthetic CalMag

Hey, as part of my day long research on how to add back a little bit into RO water in between the regular nute feedings without adding tap water or synthetic calmag, I thought about using the trace mineral drops I bought for my drinking water. Found one brand that even included "vegetable gardens" in their marketing material. A lot of companies source these from Utah salt lakes and the following ones contain Magnesium, chloride and sulfate for example:

Been using them for all my drinking water since I bought my RO. If it's a good way to remineralize water for humans, why not for pants?

the main ingredient lacking in RO water is calcium (a bit of mag too)

"Ingredients

magnesium, chloride, sodium, sulfate"

your product do not list calcium, just mag

That's expensive stuff. "One serving to 32oz of water"

One gallon water is 133 ounces. Typical watering amount can range from one gallon to four gallons....Everyday for at least 3+ months.

A gallon of Cali-Magic is much cheaper.

Right, but technically it would be a natural way to remineralize the 0 ppm tap 2 to 3 times a week, correct? My concern with the calimagic etc is that it is not organic and I know I'm prolly overthinking it but I dont want to introduce anything synthetic (nor tap water) this round. For calcium and in the long run, I will make a vinegar/ egg shell mixture to add to the water and I also ordered some ground oyster shell powder that I will try to dissolve in the water as well as adding a bit to soil. I just never want to give them straight RO.

I've tried the organic route. In my experience, it sucks. I understand love the planet and all that but the plants don't know the difference. Synthetic is extremely powerful. Almost instant uptake. Able to be used by the plant right away. To each their own.

I use only RO. I also use synthetic fertilizer. Following the GH chart. It's 1.5ml Cali-Magic in one gallon after the first week. 2.5ml after the second week. Then 1.5ml in middle to late flower. Then zero ppm after that. No fertilizer. Pure RO for the last 5-7days.

Pure won't hurt them as long as you don't give it to them for more then two days straight. After that, you'll get a few leaves change colors but it's drastic. Not when you want the plants to hurry up and die.

I hear ya. I created an organic super soil and I'm trying to have lots of microlife happening and I'm just worried the synthetic calmag would be counterproductive for the bacteria to thrive.

Well general organics cal mg or roots organic cal mg would be options.
Or. Turn off the ro filter and find something better for soil. Like small boy

I think the General Organics brand has an "organic" cal mag, and I think TPS might be "organic" too, but you'd have to check. Most aren't because they use calcium nitrate. You could get around this by using some gypsum or oyster shells in your media, along with low dose epsom salts, or langbeinite if you account for the potassium. Gypsum is underrated, that extra sulfur brings the funk. Good luck!

Roots organic calmg
No nitrates no npk
Wow!! Thank you! I think this is exactly what I've been looking for for days now. Not sure how I haven't come across this one yet. I guess some of the brand names are really similar (general organics has one that is NOT organic and the other popular one calimagic from general hydroponics isn't either). Great stuff I think you have just solved my dilemma, sir!!
