Transfer from soil to aero - How big/when?

I'm germinating some seeds in soil right now and will need to transfer them to aero when they sprout. I plan on pulling them straight out of the soil, dunking whatevers left of the root system in water to cleanse, then put them in my aero units. In yours guy opinion, when should I do this? Like how big should I wait for them to get before pulling?

How big are they now? What size containers are they in? How big of a plant can you handle without damaging the root? Honestly? I would say a plant no bigger then 7-8 inches. The roots ALWAYS get damaged to some extent so be extremely cautious. Thoroughly rinse the roots with pH correct water and (I would say dip them in an Azamax solution to be safe) after you transfer them to the new medium; DO NOT OVER WATER! That seems to be a common mistake when transplanting from dirt to any hydro.

I want to know the earliest I can safely pull them, not the latest. I'm dealing with seedlings here, not fully grown plants. The first seedling sprouted on Friday, the last seedling looks like it will come up tonight. The biggest one is about 3 inches or so and only has 4 leaves (the two oval ones you normally see on seedlings and two really small MJ looking leaves). They are all currently sitting in a shared tray w/ dome, so they won't have the room they need to get big.

wish i could have added sooner , Just put your seed sprouts into a rockwell cube and once that sprouts the green, put it in with you hydro. rocks, doing hydro/aero you want to try and NOT use any soil what so ever, but somtimes I geuss its needed , once you know the plant has a strong root structure, have a series of PH corrected water and maybe even a taste or what its normally getting , wand slowly dunk it and clean every bit of remaining dirt/soil , and final cup in the series is shouldn't have any traces of dirt and IF SO, VERY VERY little, and then you sh, ould be good to switch, Hydrate the rocks prior obviously, and Happy Grow Lucky!
