New cloner here. My mothers are inside under an 18/6 light cycle. I successfully started clones…also under 18/6. When/how do I transition the clones outdoors without triggering flowering?

No longer in Scotland. Now in Arizona. Milder winters. Lol.Isn't it winter in Scotland?
So, the strategy is to veg them indoors to the desired height/size, then transplant outdoors post-equinox?14.5 hours of daylight will cause them to flower.. Wait for longer days..
I live just above 48° latitude my planting date is May first.. Check daylight times for your local area..
Is the better strategy to time the cloning to maximize an indoor veg, or an outdoor veg?I live just above 48° latitude my planting date is May first.. Check daylight times for your local area..
edit: I didn't see you were in Az. You'll be able to start way earlier..
I’ve read where it’s best to transplant early in the lifecycle, which tells me it’s better to time the cloning to take advantage of an outdoor veg. Correct? Is the better strategy to time the cloning to maximize an indoor veg, or an outdoor veg?
Thanks. Stay tuned…With your short warm days I would veg indoors put em out in March so they finish before it gets too hot and the days get longer.. You should be done about the time I start.. If you veg outdoors with short days they will flower before you get much veg time.. Try both see how it goes..
With some cheap outdoor lights you can plant anytime as long as its warm enough. Just run the lights 3-4 hrs at dusk to extend the day length.New cloner here.
