SHould i transplant my plants to somthing bigger. My plants range from 9- 11 inches tall. Im starting to see roots growing. The keep growing higher up on the stem . And im starting to see some on the top. But watering im only having to water every 2-3 days. The pots there in now are about 7 inches tall regular brown pots from home depot. My plants are in a box 2 x 2 x4. Im using cfls so the plants length including pot cant be taller then probably 3 - 3.5 feet tall. How big of a pot should i get if i have 4 plants in there?

They should have already been in bigger pots at that size. I'd say get them in at least 3 or 3.5 gallon pots. They will double in size when they are flowering. So if they are a foot tall when you go into 12/12, expect them to get around 3ft.

So by the time they are 3ft, they will need lots of space for the roots.

i Will go get some 3,5 gallons tommorow. What is more important vertical or horizontal root growth. I ask this becuase size is kind of an issue.

yes i agree with the people. the people know. :) just as a sort of seconder, the plants should have already been transplanted, and i dont think it really matters that much weather its vertical or horizontal, whatever suits you for the space you have, the roots find their way to where they wanna go either way. :D

Most of the good growers that I've talked to, like short bushy ass plants.

without a doubt, especially when you get that fatty cola you forgot to top and it starts leaning like the leaning tower of piza. Easier to maintain short and bushy.
