Is it rootbound, or just sending little seeker roots out? I'd use that as a determination of whether to transplant or not. Personally speaking, whichever you do first, I'd give it time to recover before you do the other.

i dont really know what it totally means by rootbound. but right now all i see is alittle bit of little roots at the bottom.

When a plant gets rootbound, it basically means there's nowhere for new roots to grow. You can check very easily by carefully removing the contents of the pot, plant and dirt...to do this, gently squeeze the pot on all sides to loosen the dirt a bit, then place your hand over the pot with the stem between two fingers and tip it upside down...the contents should slide out easily. If you see a lot of roots circling around the outside of the dirt, your plant is probably rootbound and you should transplant.

I hope this helps, but if I'm not being clear then please don't try it, there is a chance you could damage your plant if you do something wrong.

I probably should have asked this first...what size container is the plant in and how long has it been in that container?

i tried to check and i fucked it all up... i dropped them...... what do i do now... my life is over! ruined!!!!!!!!!!! lol jk i sure it has a bit of room. ill prolly trans first in like a few days for the ones that need it, and then topper em off. thanx for the advice guys!!! damn i have a 6X3 and 12 plants... but 10 are regular 2 are fem. should i 3 gal until i kno which are fem? then into 5gal?

so seeing some roots on the bottom of my pots isnt bad right? i can see a decent amount of root ends but not really coming out of the pots.

I never worry about seeing a few little roots coming out of the bottom of a pot. The thing to remember is that roots have the job of supplying the plant with water and nutrients, and a healthy root system is always searching for food and water by sending out more roots to help support the above-ground growth. As long as you're not root bound, carry on, but also know that a transplant wouldn't hurt you at this stage.

jus got done reading about the copper! ty Uncle Ben and socaljoe
