Hi

My babies are 6 days old and are in 10 cm pots was wondering when be best to transplant them in to 5l pots?.

I don't know what a 10cm pot is. Just wait until the roots fill in well. Pull the pot off of one at about 2 weeks to check. In a seedling tray, mine are usually ready for first transplant around day 12.

I know what a 10cm pot is ;-)
Put her into the 5 litre as soon as she's big enough to handle. The longer to settle in the better...(:

Good rule of thumb....

Don't transplant before the leaves grow beyound the perimeter of the cup. I like 50% beyond.

In other words, whan you are looking at the plant from above, and it is in 4" diameter cup, I want a 6" wide plant.

Just my opinion, but it has worked for me. Always good roots throughout the soil mass, enough to hold everything together, but nowhere root bound.

let it go till you see roots growing out from the bottom let soil dry out as to not disturb the root ball normally from seedlings 18 days transplant them pending on what initial size you started with above posts are correct also when transplanting a actual plant notseedlings where you go by leaf over hang and pot size i usually do 300,000 seeds a year start off with seed trays after 1 week transplant them into 1" trays then 4 " after 2 weeks

:bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:I'm not 100 percent on this but a lot of growers have told me that what you see above ground there is normaly about the same amount below ground. Personally I have found this a good thing to go by myself and have always had great success in doing so. When I transplant the roots are always all around the pot but still have somewhere to go. This meaning it has not had an affect on growth in any way stunting it as well... Hope this helps, someone correct me if I'm wrong or add to what Ive said if I'm on the right track....

diesel that is also a great way to use personally @ seedling stage it goes in spurts this is why i stress for seedlings to have a night cycle this allows both ends of the plant to catch up to each other rather then top growth and no root structure running lights 24 hrs i have seen top growth but very little root growth

I run 24-0 veg. Anyway so it makes perfect sence to me. I think it's better than 18/6 imho. I try both and it's just what I perfer.....:bigjoint::bigjoint:

:bigjoint:I will say tho that 18/6 has been ALOT better with some strains. My belief is its strain dependent.jmo
