Ok so im on day 31 of lights. been 18/6 shes pretty damn big but I was advised to tranny her from people here on rollitup so today I got a pot all I could get was one 2 1/2 x deeper 2 inches wider but about 1 inch on each length portion short of how it formed in the baking pan I had it in. roots was EVERYWHERE and the whole thing was a solid mass because roots had held it all together I lightly slapped it around n lightly would try loosen soil while about to cry from hearing roots obviously ripping apart as soil was loosend. I didn't fuck with it to much just enough to break it free enough from the mold it was in and squeeze it in the trans pot. I am freaking out first grow looking SO BEAUTIFUL ill cry if this kills her ;( what should I expect or what if its hurt what will start happening? as signs of shes diing from this ;(

so the root mass obviously tells you it was time to transplant. give her a water, expect to see some signs of shock, some drooping, whatever, leave her alone, don't stress, in two days she will be better I promise

I know I was gentle but still im so paranoid and treat it like its a premie in the hospital HATED doing that lesson learned! Also all I could keep thinking as I was doing that was I should have left it alone and just let it be short small bushy n flower it this way but noooo you had to tranny n kill it n waste 31 days of time! LOL im killing myself here but thanks bro you helped me ease a lil anxiety ima go toke the rest away

heres a story, a 'friend' (dickhead) of mine was growing a 'plant' in sand in his backyard. When he decided it was time to transplant into a pot (?) he just grabbed the fucken thing by the stalk and ripped it out the ground (as u do) and replanted in sand (?) in a pot. It lived and then he decided to 'make it flower' by putting it into his (not light proof) bedroom in the evening before giving up on that idea because 'it wasn't working'. The plant hermied a month later.

I have grown outdoors for almost two decades, and now indoors for going on a year.

Listen to Critical... don't fret, these plants are resilient.

You risk more damage by loving them to death than worrying about a couple of torn roots. Trust me. I've had to do emergency outdoor transplants of 6' plants in my yard due to unforseen circumstances back in the day, and I just grabbed and fucking yoinked. I'm sure I lost 3/4 of the roots, but they grew fine after that.

Don't overwater, and don't look at them 30 times per day.

They'll be fine.

You can look as much as you want, just don't make any changes. That's the problem with most is they like to look, but they continue to make subtle changes to the plants, the medium, the water and the environment without giving enough time to see if changes have positive or negative effect.

By all means, scope them out and investigate!

Another point I want to make which is crucial is this: if you did cause any root damage in transplant, there's a chance your babies may show signs of stress within the first few days. Do not take immediate action to this. Let the plants some time to recover on their own. If things don't improve or significantly worsen after day 7-10, spin up a new thread in the same RIU forum you put this one in.

I'm confident they'll be fine if you don't change anything whatsoever.

no but with so many tops n mad undergrowth stimuli going on its amazing daily how much more it grows and so much to magnify n deep look at Oooooo I love it getting baked n jus staring lol Only thing iv ever changed iv done to the plant is I do LST her. not a bunch at once n Ill wait till fully recovered n thriving again b4 I tie her down again. Question... Is it a big NO NO to use MG bloom feed. Says jus spray lightly on leaves. I KNOW super low dose 1/4 suggested strength and every other water so about once a week at its current stage roughly? would I notice any xtra growth or love from her in veg with bloom feed?
