Transplanting Autos

So i've been hearing and reading alot about auto-flowering plants liking to stretch out early in their growth phases, and how you should start in the orignal container. However I have started 4x Road Runner #'2s, 1x Russian Rocket Fuel, and 1x Blue Himalayan Diesel, all in solo party cups, they are working on their 3rd node and I have checked several and the tap root is at the bottom and all around the sides. They are currently under 100w of mixed cfls and in good FF potting mix. I want to plant them outside asap but the weather for the next 4-5 days is cloudyw/rain with 60s. So would i be fine with that weather or should i wait for a sunny day?

the biggest thing to consider with transplanting autos is if they have started to pre flower or not. you can transplant with little shock and loss of yeild as long as you do it before or as soon as they show sex. any longer and you run the risk of shock which will hurt your yeilds. with those temps i would say go for it and if colder temps arise, get creative with a cold frame or covering but i doubt you will need to.

Thanks for the advice, I was just a bit irked because I pulled out one of the nicer ones rootball and the tap root was coiled once around at the bottom, but i also don't want to risk stunting them. Do you know about fim'ing autos? Or is it just not worth it?

I dont think autos have enough time to deal with stress factors like top fim etc. I started 2 roadrunners as well and they sprouted today.
As soon as I see first true leaves I'll transfer them to 5 gallon pots and place them to my balcony. I'm planning to feed them only with rhizotonic for the first month.
The sunshine will take care of the rest.

Is rhizotonic a good product? I was looking into it but was hesitant to order because of the price. Do you have any experience with it or know if there is any increase in yield?

And Farmer Joe, my forecast predicts lows as low as 51 at night for this week, think my girls will be fine?

I've been reading a lot of good comments on rhizotonic and started using it. Made me believe its worth the cash.
Iam doing in soil and cant really say how my root system is for now but i think its healthy. Because the plants are.

i think they will do just fine. for the rhizotonic, the description sounds almost identical to liquid kelp, which is good but isnt gonna be the deal breaker in the yeild department. i would just use a good balanced fertilizer and i think you will be fine.
