Its about that time to go from the solo cups into a bigger home and I just have a few questions concerning the transplant for those of you that can help.
This will be the first and maybe final transplant for these girls. seedlings in red cups about to go into 2 gal containers. Right now all seedlings are in FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil.
First question is, would it be a bad idea to transplant half of my girls into coco coir and the other half into more ocean forest? they are all in OF right now but i would like to see the differences between the yields between the 2 mediums and didnt know if that would be a terrible idea.
Second question: I read in the GrowFAQ that when transplanting to plant the plants up to their firs set of leaves to help with height( i have 2 stretchy sativas whos first set of leaves are ~6-8" ofrom the soil and i woul like to lower them a little). My question concerning this is if you were to make cuts in the stem that is going below the surface of the medium would that encourage roots to grow out of that area or would it just be a pain in my ass?
Thanks ahead of time for your help.
