this is what i did, and be aware your plants will go through shock, and you need to be patient and pay attention.
mine had its 3rd set of leaves, and i dug it up, rinsed off the root carefully keeping then flat on my hand as i rinsed. then i dipped the roots in some cloning solution, soaked a rockwool cube and used clay pellets. i ripped some of the rockwool apart and used it to cover the roots. just get creative and be careful, let them sit in the dark for about a week and clean up the stressed leaves, leaving as much as possible, keep the enviormnt aroun d 68-72 degrees..do research on it as well to make sure you can develop a plan. its simply a waiting game and dont panic when it looks half dead, these are tough plants and they will survive. keep the water low, dont submerge them, and make sure you have plenty of air in the water. again go do a bunch of reserch but yes it can be done
