transplanting two outdoor plants

i have two plants i put outside from my indoor garden because i over nuted them and they were unable to keep up with the other plants. i moved them outside and they have survived the worst and now they need a bigger area to grow in. they are probably only about 7 inches tall. Can i just grab a black trash bag and fill that with dirt and stick the plant in that? im looking for a fat pot that i can move around and i heard about the trash bag idea and that sounds like the cheapest and easiest way to go. help please anyone, thanks.

You cant use dirt. But that would work pretty good. You have to use a heavy heavy trash bag not a wimpy one. and dont forget holes!

Or dude u could find cheap cheap buckets at walmart and there pretty big
i would do that because if your moveing them then u could tear the bag or something.

hey if your using a trash or plastic grow bag, i like to dig a hole in the ground first, then place the bag, with plant in the ground. this really helps cut down on watering frequency and keeps the roots cooler. but don't forget drainage, if in a totally swampy area, this is not advisable. also make sure your soil/grow medium is of premium quality. good luck growin

dam i didn't realize you said you wanted to move your plant around for some reason, grow bags not the best for moving, better stick with a large pot
