Transplanting?

Hi People,

I have a stupid question. I have 1 18 inch tall female plant. It is in a 6 inch clay pot. I finally got a 2 gallon pot and some organic potting soil. What is the best way to get my plant out of the clay pot. I don;t think I can break it. I live in a small apt. so i am trying to do it as cleanly as possible. Someone told me to turn it upside down and try and pull it out. I think that if I tried this i could break the root system. Any suggestions or methods to get her out cleany?

Thanks

Step1: Water lightly so the soil stays together with the roots.. dry soil will fall off the roots, which you dont want.

Step2: Put the base of the stem between your fingers, with your palm resting on the soil.

Step3: Turn upside down, lightly squeezing the pot, so that the wet ball of dirt/roots slowing comes out.

Step4: Put dirt/root ball into new pot and cover with soil thoroughly.

Step5: Lightly water again.

I do all my transplanting with trash bags underneath the spot so I dont get dirt everywhere.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

:peace:
