I've grown strains that never turned amber and some strains will show amber when they're not even close to being done. Then other factors can affect the trichomes. Overfeeding, foliar sprays, etc... Some think it's the gold standard but there are too many variables to just rely on the trichomes.

You can't go wrong when they are beginning to turn amber and that's when I usually harvest.

I find my plants usually pack on a bit more weight after turning cloudy.

thanks for the input....i read somewhere that if the trichs are all clear ,and you harvest ,that you get more of a cerebral high with possible headaches/anxiety to boot and low thc...not looking for couch lock either,as i have read, that heavy amber trichs cause....
