Thanks for the replies, the bud I took the pics of I cut off on day 56 or 57, left it in the tent out of direct light just checked it and should be able to get a taster tonight or tomorrow.
The USB scope I quite like, you need to take a sample off the plant to check though, unless you can get a table or something with your laptop on next to the plant and even then I think you would struggle holding the scope, maybe that's just me though cause they do sell similar ones to mine but without the stand.
I had one of those small black scopes 100x I think, had to push it right up to the bud, I didn't have a good time with it. I also have a 30x loupe, I can see this would work ok if you know exactly what you are looking for, and keep an eye out from early on so you can see the changes yourself. I also recently got a 30x loupe with smaller 60x on it as well but have no batteries so have been unable to test it, its a lot easier with the light as you can get right up close without causing a shadow.
The USB scope is the easiest to use for me, but I'm not great at taking pics as you can see lol. The one I have has a dial that you turn which goes from 10x up to 150x depending on your laptop screen size/resolution. I'm sure some more experienced photographers could get some great shots with it.
I forgot to mention some of my biggest (and tallest) buds seem to be trying to foxtail of some sort, not the thin calyx on calyx dreadlock type, they seem to be throwing out new white hairs all over the bud and trying to grow bigger. I don't think this is normal for this strain? Plus only being the tallest buds I'm guessing it could be heat stress from being too close to the light. Using a parabolic so can get pretty close.
Is it ok to harvest while these new hairs are still white? Will then even ripen up, and if they do will that leave the rest of the plant over ripe? Most of the buds are looking great, pretty much done to me, just the 5 or 6 biggest buds having this issue.
