That is what I was thinking. Would rather not remove buds, the most potent part of the plant, as I only have one.. Just going to chop her tomorrow, three LSD seeds from barneys farm are week old seedlings and I gotta get em under HPS. Thanks for the reply.a decent amount of amber on sugar leaves, read somewhere it's best to look at flowers. Have you snipped bits of flower to see their trics? If they look similar, you're ready if you prefer head over body.
Near the top, but all of her buds except for the very bottom flowers have roughly 50/50 colored pistils. You don't need to remove any bud to check them...but before you chop try checking them....where was the leaf from? Top, middle, bottom? And just don't jump the gun with a sugar leaf
It's a big argument some do, some dont....me I do not, I believe its about photosynthesis and they collect energy... I will prune threw some tho but I don't know if that would make it faster tho? I could be wrong but I believe that sugar leafs finish before buds...but there is a decent amber so I'm sure your bud has some.. but imo try and get amber steady hand and check out the cola just to make it just right! If I hadn't cut so many leaves off like a moron, it would easily be ready by now... lol
I agree with that the sugar leafs always seem to go amber quicker i would definitely try to check the bud pull the plant out of the room into some normal lighting if you have to. 50/50 orange hairs sound like it could go longer could you post apuc of the whole plant.I could be wrong but I believe that sugar leafs finish before buds...
Thanks for the input. Everything I've read from credible sources says to minimize pruning, leaves are definitely important for development. The plant grows them for a reason right? Just going to write it off as a learning experience, it's one plant that is taking forever to mature and suffered from severe stress when I went on vacation and someone somehow watered it incorrectly or didn't water it, plus temps were generally too high because I don't have central ac and didn't want to invest in a standalone yet as we are heading into winter. Going for 112g/plant next grow, 4x LSD. Trying to keep it mostly organic. It's a big argument some do, some dont....me I do not, I believe its about photosynthesis and they collect energy... I will prune threw some tho but I don't know if that would make it faster tho? Thanks, I have a difficult time seeing much red or white in the pic though.I like them to look like this pistil wise pretty much no white maybe 10%
I agree i try to only prune leaves if they are covering bud sites.
It's because they receded all the way into the calyax that's the idea there really shouldn't be much white at all and the red ones should be maybe a quarter of the starting length once they receded all the wayThanks, I have a difficult time seeing much red or white in the pic though.
Got it, that is a gorgeous plant!A better picView attachment 3509377
That's man. I would minimize the pruning like you said too my grow now i did a lil bit but only cause its a scrog and there is tons of leaf on leaf action witch can lead to humidity issues besides that i usally only take leafs that are by the soil and get in the way when i waterGot it, that is a gorgeous plant!

Thanks, yes I did on most of them, but placed some stems next to them in order to test for when they are dry enough to snap. Is it bad to leave them on?Cheers on harvest, it's a beautiful thing having ur own. Buds already in jars, did you remove buds from stems to dry on that rack?
