Trichomes at day 29

These are my trichomes at day 29. This is my first grow so I’m looking for some confirmation this is normal cause they look cloudy to me. Are these clear or cloudy and would this plant be expected to go the full 8 weeks as they said at the clone store

Blue Vishnu - cross of Blue Nina and Krishna kush. She smells amazing in the room. Barely smell her outside the room. I overwatered I’m thinking and had a calmag short. Any other tips appreciated.

This is normal, this is showing you're doing something right. This looks awesome for your first grow! keep it up and the sky is the limit. I would keep going until at least week 8, then start making the decision to go one more week from there on out. Your tops haven't fully swelled up. You're going to notice a massive difference between now and week 8-9.

I appreciate it. Yeah the colas look pretty whimpy to me right now but it’s early right? Over the last week they stopped growing up so much and have started filling out so I’m hoping they continue to beef up in the coming weeks. Mostly just molasses for two more weeks and I was gonna do one more compost tea. I’ll post more pics as I go if you want to check em out. Trying to gauge the best time to start my flush. Should I be switching from molasses to brown sugar at some point?

If you start to see the trichomes wither up and start losing their mushroom caps chop, your not close to that yet, its got a ways to go. One of my current strains the trichromes changed pretty early to cloudy, it's been staying that way for 8 days I was thinking chop, then it went into a second growth spurt and is adding mass to the colas. Be patient, every grow your comfort level increases.

She has developed more trichomes that are clear. She looks like she has a calmag and phosphorus deficiency. Leaves are getting spotted yellow. I too feed was every 3 weeks. I feel like it’s a Nute lockout. I need to test the pH of my runoff. Any thoughts for me from looking at this photo?

Plants run on their “ own “ timeline , not by some store or breeder ... run it longer.

” 8 week strains “ are often 10 weekers .... it’s pretty hard to “ over harvest “ a plant. And the only place you should scope triches are at calyx / bract ( the areas were pistils shoot from ) . Pistil coloring off will show “ age “ of maturity and often as another indicator of ripeness is percentage of pistil receded ( at least 80% of OVERALL buds ).

It is far too easy to cut too soon.

So I did a slurry test and the pH was around 5.5. I only got soil from near the top as I didn’t want to disturb roots. Lifted away the top inch and then took a small sample. When I mix my seaweed and molasses to my water it is 5.6pH. I watered that way through veg and the first 3 weeks of flower. I’m guessing that’s how my soil pH got so low. This would explain the nutrient deficiencies? I now pH up to 7.2 when I water to try and get right. The flowers don’t seem to be growing anymore and I think the only thing I can do is make sure I don’t repeat this mistake on the next round. Does this sound right?

Just make sure you use distilled water to do your slurry test that is at 7 ph going in. Follow doubleron and Renfros method to adjust ph.

I wouldn't be shy with the calmag. I ran Krishna Kush from Colorado Seed Inc for quite a while and she needed more calmag than anything else in the garden. Her flowering time was 7-8 weeks on the package. I always gave her the chop around 10 weeks. I tried 56-58 days once and was so disappointed. Big loss in terps, potency and yield.

So the trichomes are starting to amber up. I think I destroyed this one with bad pH maintenance. I know she should go another 3-4 weeks I’m just not sure she’s gonna make it. Thoughts?
