Trichomes shriveling up?

I am growing Grand Daddy Purple which say 8 weeks flower time. I am 2 days past 8 weeks from the day I switched to 12/12. The plants are very healthy and growing great - Until today. The flowers are dense and I have been checking the tric’s for about a week and everything was normal (mostly cloudy - no amber) until I checked today. Many of the trichomes - Heads and stems have shriveled up and look bad. Via naked eye, the flowers look great and still have 90% white pistols. Humidity in the room is 47% which is the lowest I can get it.

Can someone please let me know what this could mean? Is there anything I can / should do?

Can you show us what your talking about. I can’t say I’ve ever seen trichromes shrivel up.

Are you looking for a reason to harvest? LOL. 2 days past the grower's suggested flower time is nothing. First, they may calculate the grow days once the flowers start to show, not necessarily after the switch to 12/12. It's possible you still have another month to go. I hope not for your sake, but be patient.

I would also like to see what's happening with the trichs.

Ablaze, come on now... this is a serious question that has nothing to do with being patient. I simply stated the time they were switched so that it might be helpful for folks to know where they are in their cycle - In other words, they should NOT be ready to harvest yet.

I'll try to word it differently. Again, I have been examining the trichomes for a week or so. Every day they look normal - clear stems with round heads that are mostly cloudy and no amber heads. Today, first sample had stems that looked like they had lost moisture - Shriveled up and deformed, and many of those stems where missing heads which was not the case any other day I checked. I did several more samples and found the same thing.

This is concerning to me because many of the trichomes do not look healthy / normal. Is there anyone who has experienced something similar?

My friend, sorry for my misunderstanding. I thank you for giving me that opportunity to explain. Seriously.

Trichomes are just a part of it. Without pictures, do what you feel is best.

OK, I realize these photos are not great but they are the best I can do. The first photo is what I would call normal. The second is what I am talking about. Hopefully you can see the difference.

One seems smushed is all do you squeeze your buds when checking them?
