Trick for photos

So if you're using HPS lighting your pictures are coming out yellow. Which makes it really hard to diagnose plant problems. Go into your cell phone camera and adjust the white balance until your colors look normal. Also make sure your geotag or gps tags are set to off. Really don't want to give away your GPS coordinates where you are growing.

Or just switch the HPs off that works. It won't hurt anything.

I didn't know that those phones would allow a white balance adjustment.

I got a new 20.1mp Nikon CoolPix L32 a few months ago for $100. I can manually adjust the white balance so pics look right by aiming at a white sheet of paper I put on the top of the plants then let the camera set itself to. Then I load the pics into my computer to crop and resize before uploading so I get great pics with a file size around 600K instead of some of these 9meg monsters some people upload.

My pics never show up sideways either. :) Not saying yours do but some people do them all like that.

Today's pretty girl. I saved this at a higher resolution so the file size is about 3x my normal.

A little edge enhancement to make the trichs pop a bit too. :)

Very nice. I love herbs that have frost on all but fan leaves. Less trimming. Who makes a good scope for checking resin heads?

you can also use a colored transparent film in front of your camera lens. Its more old school but it works really well. Blue filter for HPS, Green filter for blurples.
I used this solution when I had a robotic camera to check my grow space, you can see the effect on this image where the filter is covering only half the lens/sensor.

All my photos are from Galaxy S6. And I never had to edit them.

Radio Shack is still a thing? I thought they closed down several years ago?
In CannaDuh here Radio Shack is now known as The Source. Nothing like what they used to be when you had rows of racks of all the tiny electronic components that hobbyists loved. I want some capacitors to repair a dead LCD computer monitor and have to order them in special and it may take up to 3 months to get them. A friend gave me new monitor so I haven't bothered ordering them yet. Got my little 30x scope off them about 12 years ago for $13. Has a little 8x popout magnifying glass on one end and it's always been good enough to see how the trichs are doing. I'll snip off a leaf and lay it out to use the 30x when hunting bugs and need to make sure what they are.
